Why I built VoltSites
VoltSites was born from more than a decade building custom websites for digital marketing agencies — the expensive kind. I've led website builds for hundreds of sites, including projects that cost over a quarter million dollars each.
That work taught me what actually makes a site work for a local business — and how broken the options were for owners who couldn't spend agency money.
An agency wants $5,000–$10,000+ upfront, monthly hosting on top, and every update billed separately — solid work if you have the budget, overkill if you just need a site that brings in leads. A freelancer still charges thousands upfront plus ongoing fees, and you're betting on one person staying responsive, delivering quality, and not going quiet mid-project.
